Brazil Ports Strike: Household Goods Shipments Delays Expected

Delays for inbound and outbound household goods shipments at all Brazil air and sea ports are anticipated due to a strike by Brazilian Customs Officers. Shipments are expected to be delayed, causing additional port storage, demurrage, and various other charges to be assessed.

While the situation remains fluid and subject to change, Cartus will continue to monitor this delay and work with our network freight forwarders to provide updates on the potential shipment impacts. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your Cartus representative.
