An Industry-Level Look at Relocation Trends

In global relocation, one size definitely does not fit all. Policies are as unique as the companies that provide the benefits, with changing locations and demographics adding layers of complexity to even the most finely tuned programs.

Providing up-to-date information on industry trends and challenges is what Cartus’ award-winning research program has been doing for more than 10 years—but companies need even deeper levels of insight to keep their individual programs informed and their policies competitive. That’s the driving force behind our Industry Profile series, launched in 2012.

Cartus Consulting has just issued a new set of profiles based on our recent 2014 Trends in Global Mobility: Policy and Practices survey, which garnered responses from 172 relocation managers around the world representing more than 8 million employees. Profiles were prepared for eight major industry sectors, looking at a number of key survey questions and comparing the results of each sector against overall survey responses. This approach provides insight into how specific industries are approaching areas such as assignment volume and types, cost control focus and solutions, and the role of global mobility.

Reports are available for the following industries:

• Consumer Goods
• Financial
• Manufacturing/Construction
• Oil & Gas
• Pharma
• Raw Materials
• Service/Media
• Technology
